Crane & Hoist is the only company that is a CMAA member in the New England states. Capco
Crane & Hoist, Inc. is a service organization located in the suburban Boston area,
specializing in the sales, installation, manufacturing and inspection of overhead bridge
cranes and hoists for industrial companies. Sales Department
Hands on experience, integrity and personal attention to details are the hallmark of our
sales staff. Our team project approach brings the appropriate skills to a project from
start to finish.
Crane Engineering
Our staff is headed by a "P.E." stamped, structural engineer. The backbone of
the engineering department is our "custom software" program that can design
bridge beams, including box girder types, runway beams and structural systems.
Drafting
Our drafting team uses the latest CAD technology available to the crane industry. All of
the CAD designs and drawings are produced "in-house" on our own state-of-the-art
computer equipment.
Fabrication Shop
Our shop capacity is unlimited and all of our cranes are completely assembled, run and
electrically tested before shipment. We are the only company in New England
fabricating box girders from concept to installation. We can produce up to 150’ long
crane beams into complete systems, which are QC tested in the shop before shipment to the
site.
Installation & Millwright Department
Our skilled millwright group has allowed us to complete many challenging projects. From
simple wall-mounted jib to 450-ton double box girder systems, each project receives the
same attention to plumb, balance and structural stability. Recent installations have
taken us as far as Juarez Mexico.
Service Department
Our fleet of service vans and technicians cover all of New England and upstate New York.
In addition to crane system repairs and 24-hour-a-day emergency service, we are providing
many customers with "Preventive Maintenance."
Safety & Training
Our staff includes an industry trainer who has completed the OSHA 501 course; Outreach
Trainer for General Industry. Crane operator safety training is part of each new system.
We can also provide many customers with user specific training designed for your
application.
Parts Department
We are the Northeast Master Parts Dealer for Yale and Shaw-Box hoists providing an
in-depth inventory for these hoists and the resources to obtain parts for most units in
use today. In addition, we carry many common parts from several manufacturers,
