OverHead Bridge Crane Company Announces New Sales Office in CT. Area (May, 2008)

Capco Crane and Hoist Inc. is pleased to announce the opening of a sales and service operation in Plainville, CT. The sales/service office was established to better serve the Connecticut market and its customer base heading southwest. The office is managed by Mr. Ken Caron, a career “crane man”, who holds both an R9 and R10 crane license. In addition, they have several veteran service technicians, who live in Connecticut and also have R10 certification and license. The office and the local staff became a necessity due to all of the additional accounts in the Connecticut area that Capco has picked up over the past 2 years.

Sales Manager Mr. David F. Caputo reports, “we needed to respond to our customers needs and provide sales and service technicians that lived in close proximity to these accounts that were just exploding with business opportunities for us. But, as always, we needed to add the right people that would add something special to the overall team concept that is “Capco” and we feel we accomplished that and then some. The new staff has already made a great improvement over the level of service and responsiveness that we can now offer to the Connecticut-based accounts. We always prided ourselves on response time and with the addition of several high profile Connecticut-based accounts it was getting to be very challenging to handle all of the New England service business out of Massachusetts with our own Massachusetts based service crew. Therefore, the new staff in Connecticut has been the perfect complement to the existing service staff based in Massachusetts. We could always respond the same day to emergency service calls in Connecticut, but now we can respond to breakdowns within an hour or two, depending on the work load on any given day.”

The sales staff has also won contracts in states like West Virginia, Maryland, North Carolina and Florida and thus, the new CT staff can also help with their response time in the Southeast part of the country. The word has spread quickly and they are seeing more and more opportunities to quote and win business in Connecticut. Capco is proud to announce that they recently completed two large retrofit projects for Pratt & Whitney in Middletown, CT. Paul Cardone of Pratt ” Whitney was enthusiastic in his praise of Capco’s services. “The consistent coordination effort and open lines of communication between Capco Crane, in-house engineering and trades was always conducted in a professional manner,” he said. “Capco Crane never lost sight or focus on customer satisfaction throughout this project. Capco Crane & Hoist delivered a high-quality product backed up with constant personal attention, which made my customers very satisfied with the final product.

Capco also won a huge project in Waterbury,CT for a freestanding runway system and two large capacity double girder cranes. The local service was instrumental in helping them secure both of those exciting projects. The new cranes and equipment will be fabricated in the new Capco facility up in Rowley, MA. and the service will be handled by the Plainville office.

The future looks very bright for Capco and the state of Connecticut has just gained another local service business that they can be proud of and call their own. The goal of the Capco sales staff is to make sure all Connecticut-based companies realize that CAPCO now has a permanent location in their state and they hope to provide great local service and support for many years to come.
