Capco Crane Wins Successful Central MA Crane Bid

Categories: Uncategorized |

Capco Crane & Hoist, Inc., is located in the suburban Boston area and is an organization which specializes in the sales, installation, manufacturing and inspection of indoor overhead bridge girder cranes and hoists. They are a member of the Crane Manufacturers Association of America and MHIA, the Material Handling Industry of America ( www.mhia.org).

Capco is successful over 5 Bidders for a large 15 ton Monobox Bridge Crane

Capco Crane & Hoist recently was pleased to announce that they have finished  fabricating and are about to install a large, 15 ton, 75 foot span, 25 foot lift, radio controlled, Mono Box Bridge crane into a large industrial plant in Central Mass.

Capco was awarded the Job, based on quality, price and delivery, and their impeccable reputation for service after the sale. The Customer was interested in finding a company that could team up with their in-house engineering group and design a high quality, single beam that could span the existing 75 foot shop and provide the maximum hook coverage. With height restraints above the runway, a very tight budget, and a need for a nimble faster crane; a double girder design was out of the question and with concerns of end approach, the single Mono Box design fit the requirement… perfectly!

Capco designed and built  the custom plate box girder monobox 15 Ton bridge crane in their plant in Rowley, Mass. The Customer was enthused about the design and the opportunity to visit with Capco during the fabrication of the girder and, later in the process, when the crane was put togetherand being electrical piped and wired. It was business as usual for the Capco staff; with another high quality custom built crane that was ready for installation by the Capco Millwrights.

Sales manager, David Caputo, commented, “the customer loved our sole source approach as their prior experiences with other crane companies in the past was to have the girder built in one location and then have the components meeting for the first time at the job site… by millwrights sub contracted for the installation”.

“In the Capco approach; all of the trades and skills are under ONE ROOF in Rowley, MA and where the Capco engineers design the girder and the crane as they see the job done right through from the shop fabrication all the way to the final installation. All of the work is done by Capco staff, and it is a novel concept in this day of sub contractors and smaller shops that cannot build the large capacity, long span cranes for lack of skilled workers or lack of Shop capacity, or sometimes, both.”

At Capco, they built their outstanding reputation on the one stop shopping concept for large Box Girders in the NE region, they are a CMAA member company and their men are skilled at all phases of the crane building process, from design, to the final installation and the after sale service…

As Sales Manager David Caputo, noted: “When it comes to long span, large capacity Box girders, we really are the ONLY logical choice and if the customer does their homework and goes to visit other fabrication shops in the NE region; no one has the shop capacity or the crane capacity that we have in Rowley Mass. We always welcome the bidders or end users to come check us out and we tell them, ‘go see the other guys and then you tell us, who is best equipped to build the Big Stuff’. We feel that Capco Crane is the Best and Most Logical choice”.
